We say plainly what data comes in when you visit this site, what we need it for and who else gets to see it. This page is deliberately written to be read without any legal background.

What data we handle
There are two kinds: what you actively give us, and what arises technically when a page is opened.
What you give us yourself
When you fill in a form, we receive exactly what you enter: name, email address, optionally company and phone number, and your message. Those entries are voluntary — without a name and an email address, though, we cannot answer an enquiry.
Example: You request a quote through the contact form, or you pick locations on the map and send us your selection.
What arises when a page opens
Every visit to a website leaves technical details behind without you doing anything: IP address, time, the address requested, browser type and operating system. They arise at our operator and serve the safe running of the site.
Example: The IP address shows which country a visit came from. We see no names and no postal addresses.
How often a page is read
We count how often each page is opened, from which country and by which route. This works without cookies and without an identifier that would make you recognisable across visits. The figures are aggregated and cannot be traced to a person.
Example: We see that one network page is read more often than another — not who read it.
Why we need the data
We handle personal data only for the purposes below. We do not use it for advertising or for building audience profiles.
Answering your enquiry
The most common case: you write to us, we reply. That includes drawing up a quote and following up later while an enquiry is still open.
Running the site safely
We need the technical details to keep the site reachable and to spot attacks and abuse. That includes how often a form is submitted — otherwise a script could flood our inbox. We do not store your IP address in plain text: we compute an unreadable string from it that cannot be turned back. Together with the current hour, that is a counter and nothing more.
Improving the site
The aggregated view counts tell us which content people look for and where something is missing. That feeds back into structure and wording.
Legal obligations
In rare cases we are obliged to hand over or retain details — towards an authority, say, or because of an accounting rule. We do so only as far as a legal basis requires.
Service providers
For operating and delivering this website, counting page views, sending the e-mails generated by our forms, the map on the contact page, the site photos in the Screen Finder and the embedded reference gallery, we work with specialised service providers. They receive the technical details described above and, when you submit a form, the data from that form.
Beyond that, we do not embed any advertising or analytics services. Where these service providers are based, and how we safeguard the transfer, is set out below under “Transfer abroad”.
Legal basis and your rights
1. Legal basis
We handle personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the European General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on performing a contract or a pre-contractual enquiry, and on our legitimate interest in running the site safely.
2. Transfer abroad
Several of the service providers we use are based in the USA. Data can therefore reach a country whose data protection law does not match Swiss law. We pick providers that commit contractually to an adequate level of protection, and we limit the transfer to what each service needs in order to work.
3. How long we keep data
We keep data only as long as the purpose requires:
- Enquiries from a form: while the enquiry is open and a follow-up is to be expected
- Technical visit data: short-lived, removed automatically at the operator
- Aggregated view counts: kept, but with no link to a person
Where a statutory retention period applies, we abide by it.
4. Data security
The connection to this site is encrypted throughout; your browser picks the strongest method it supports. Access to the data is limited to the people who need it for their work, and our providers are contractually bound to data protection.
Nobody can promise absolute security. We take the measures that are appropriate to the state of the art.
5. Fonts
The fonts on this website sit on our own server. Your browser loads them from there and not from a font service — so no data about you reaches such a provider.
6. Cookies and similar techniques
This site sets no cookies for advertising, tracking or recognition. Page-view counting works without cookies.
Two exceptions, both technically necessary: our internal login area uses a session cookie that expires when you sign out, and the notice at the bottom of the screen remembers in your browser’s storage that you closed it. Neither leaves your device nor serves any evaluation.
Embedded content from Google may set its own cookies. That can only be avoided by not opening the page concerned or by blocking cookies in your browser.
7. Your rights
You have the right at any time
- to ask what data we handle about you
- to have incorrect entries corrected
- to ask for your data to be deleted
- to object to the handling
- to receive your data in a common format
An email to us is enough. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can turn to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

We adapt this policy when something changes on our site or at the services involved. The version published here applies; the date above shows when it was last changed.
